An insert member (18) is inserted into the measuring tube to increase flow rate of air in a detection area i.e. middle area (22) of the insert member, as a function of the air flow expected by the measuring tube. A sense element (16) of the detection unit is arranged at the measuring tube and the insert member is funnel-shaped and extended downstream the sense element.
