EMULSIFIED COSMETIC USING FISH-ORIGIN CHOLESTEROL

Disclosed is an emulsion type cosmetic which contains cholesterol and yet shows no stickiness, good spreadability on the skin and favorable texture in application. The emulsified cosmetic is characterized by containing, as cholesterol, fish-origin cholesterol having a cholesterol content of 93-96% by area. The fish-origin cholesterol is preferably a cholesterol composition which is obtained by fractionating crude fish oil by distillation to collect cholesterol contained therein and then purifying the cholesterol using hexane to give a cholesterol purity of 93-96% by area. It is also preferred that the fish-origin cholesterol is free from sterol components derived from lanolin.
