PURPOSE: A cosmetic composition containing vegetable extract is provided to relieve itching and to improve antibacterial property, moisturizing, and immune function. CONSTITUTION: A cosmetic composition for relieving atopic dermatitis contains 0.01-10 weight parts of vegetable extract as an active ingredient, including Polygonatum odoratum var. pluriflorum, Ophiophogon japonicas, Saururus chinensis, Melissa officinalis, Salvia officinalis, Oenothera odorata, Lavandula officinalis, Rosmarinus officinalis, or Anthemis nobilis. The composition further contains oil, water, surfactant, moisturizing agent, thickening agent, chelating agent, coloring agent, antiseptic, or perfume. The cosmetic composition is used in the form of an essence, whitening cream, lotion, emulsion, pack, cream, serum, hair tonic, or body cleanser.
