PURPOSE: A key input interface method is provided to input a key as the restricted number of keys of a small electronic device by differentiating a key element in an interface scheme by allocating a key element to first and second groups. CONSTITUTION: Key elements are allocated 3 by 3 key array(S110). A key element in a first group and a key element corresponding to the same location as 3 by 3 key array are allocated. The key element which is allocated to the selected key recognizes a key element selection scheme and processes the key element in the first and the second groups(S160).
