PURPOSE: A composition containing pickled cuttlefish or cuttlefish is provided to reduce lipid, cholesterol, peroxide lipid, and hydroxyl radical content. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating obesity or hyperlipidemia and arteriosclerotic vascular diseases contains pickled cuttlefish or cuttlefish as an active ingredient. The pickled cuttlefish or cuttlefish is a product or dry powder thereof. A method for preparing pickled cuttlefish or cuttlefish comprises: a step of removing intestine of cuttlefish and cutting the cuttlefish; a step of pickling the cuttlefish at 1°C-50°C for 1-80 hours and washing; a step of adding sugar and starch syrup to the cuttlefish and immersing at 1°C-50°C for 1-60 hours; a step of adding seasoning to the cuttlefish and maturing at 1°C-20°C for 1-20 days; and a step of freeze-drying.
