PURPOSE: A device for testing opening performance of a variable valve for a muffler is provided to precisely the measure and test the opening angle and state of a variable valve before the mounting to ac actual vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A device for testing opening performance of a variable valve for a muffler comprises a frame(10), a transparent tube(20) and a wire displacement sensor(30). The frame has first and second support flanges(12,13) which are installed to be separated by a plurality of supporting bolts(14). The transparent tube is installed between the first and second support flanges. The transparent tube is a transparent material. The exhaust pipe for the test guiding the exhaust gas is installed within the transparent tube. The wire is guided by a guide pulley.
