<p>The present invention is directed to aptamers that are characterized in that it inhibits the agonistic effect of an antibody specific for the 1st or 2nd extracellular loop of human beta-1-adrenergic receptor in a rat cardiomyocyte beating frequency assay with an IC50 of 100 nM or less.</p>
