PURPOSE: An electronic device and a method of controlling the same are provided to control the content reproduction by relating with an event. CONSTITUTION: A wireless communication unit(110) is connected to a local network. If a first mobile terminal enters the local network, a control unit(180) automatically outputs a control signal which reproduces the preset content to other electronic device included in the local network corresponding to a first mobile terminal or a first user of a first mobile terminal. The local network is an DLNA(Digital Living Network Alliance) network. A different electronic device is an DMR(Digital Media Renderer) included in the DLNA network.
