A vehicle suspension damper comprises a cylinder (102) and a piston assembly including a damping piston (105) along with working fluid within the cylinder (102). A bypass (150) permits fluid to avoid dampening resistance of the damping piston (105). A fluid path (160,155,165) through the bypass (150) is controlled by a valve (200) that is shifted by a piston surface (206) when the contents of at least one predetermined volume (255) is injected against the piston surface (206) which acts upon the valve (200). In one embodiment, the bypass (150) is remotely operable.
