PURPOSE: A gasket for tightly closing the gap between a collector nozzle and a shroud nozzle and a method of manufacturing the same are provided to curb ingot steel flowing in a nozzle from becoming re-oxidized by external air. CONSTITUTION: A gasket(100) for tightly closing the gap between a collector nozzle and a shroud nozzle(15) comprise matrix and oxidizing metallic powder. The matrix comprises filler, lubricant, and binder. The oxidizing metallic powder is mixed with the matrix. The oxidizing power of the oxidizing metallic powder is greater than the iron of ingot steel flowing through the shroud nozzle. The oxidizing metallic powder comprises at least one of chrome, manganese, silicon, titanium, aluminum, and calcium powder. |
