<p>The exchanger (1) has a hollow tube (2) containing heat transfer fluid and comprising an outer wall (3), where the tube is made of soft or ductile metal e.g. copper. A group (10) of fins e.g. sheets or thin plates, is stacked and welded together and to a tube in a location (4a) along the outer wall. Another group (20) of fins is welded to the tube in a location (4b) along the outer wall of tube. The fins of the former group are stacked radially with respect to the tube at the welding location of the fins to the hollow tube. The fins are made of cost or ductile metal e.g. aluminum or copper. An independent claim is also included for a method of manufacturing a heat exchanger.</p> |
