<p>Water storing and purifying system comprises: a reservoir (2), which is at least partially filled with a porous material (3); at least one barrier layer (5) for extending the seepage of water, where the barrier layer is arranged inside the water impermeable, artificial and externally delimited reservoir; and (ii) a water collection tray, which extends from the bottom of the reservoir up to its surface, where the water collection container has an opening above the top barrier layer and at least one opening below the lowest barrier layer, through which water can flow.
