PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for reporting maximum inverse transmission power in a mobile communication system are provided to efficiently process scheduling information between a terminal and a base station. CONSTITUTION: A transceiver(1105) transmits and receives a signal from a base station. A controller(1110) decides the maximum transmission power of a terminal. The controller determines the usable transmission power of the terminal through the determined maximum transmission power. The controller transmits scheduling information including usable transmission power and maximum transmission power to the base station. The maximum transmission power is determined regardless of transmission power which the terminal uses power for inverse transmission.
