PURPOSE: A cantilever of a bridge slab using precast pedestals and a construction method thereof are provided to reduce the risk of accident resulting from high-place work by excluding dismantlement after placing concrete. CONSTITUTION: A cantilever(100) of a bridge comprises a plurality of permanent precast pedestals(200), joists(300), a working passage(400), and a precast deck(500). The permanent precast pedestals are installed at regular intervals in the longitudinal direction on the side of an outermost girder(10). The joists are installed to connect the permanent precast pedestals in the longitudinal direction. The working passage is installed to be projected from the side of the permanent precast pedestals and allows the passage of a worker in cantilever construction. The precast deck is installed to be placed on the permanent precast pedestals and the joists and allows concrete placement on a cantilever. |
