<p>The device has a modularly designed icecream maker (20) provided in a freezer part (10). The icecream maker includes a stirring unit (24) and an exchangeable container (26) for receiving icecream as modular separable components. A drive (22) e.g. electric motor, drives the stirring unit. The stirring unit and the drive are directly or indirectly connected by a coupling (23). A controlling and/or regulating unit controls and/or regulates rotational speed of the stirring unit by measuring values e.g. current consumption values of the stirring unit. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating an icecream maker of a cooling and/or freezing device.</p>
