PURPOSE: Lightweight aggregate using plasticized lime sludge and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to prevent environmental pollution using plasticized lime sludge, desulphurization slag, and wastewater treated sludge. CONSTITUTION: Lightweight aggregate using plasticized lime sludge includes a spherical body(10) and a coating layer(20) surrounding the spherical body. The spherical body is based on 60-70 weight% of plasticized lime sludge(11), 10-30 weight% of desulphurization slag, 10-20 weight% of wastewater treated sludge(13). The coating layer is based on cement. A method for manufacturing the lightweight aggregate using the plasticized lime sludge includes the following: The plasticized lime sludge, the desulphurization slag, and wastewater treated sludge are mixed. Bentonite is introduced into the mixture as a binder to form the spherical body. The spherical body is plasticized and dried.
