发明名称 Improved process and apparatus for spinning-in a running artificial thread into a tubular system
摘要 <PICT:0712849/IV (a)/1> <PICT:0712849/IV (a)/2> <PICT:0712849/IV (a)/3> <PICT:0712849/IV (a)/4> In spinning a running artificial thread into a tube system using a liquid, the thread being introduced into the tube system substantially parallel with the jet of liquid when spinning-in, the running thread in its path of travel towards a temporary storage is guided underneath a discharge orifice from which the jet of liquid flows substantially vertically downward in a free path through the air in such a manner that the liquid flows over the thread and that, when the thread is cut at a point in its path of travel between the jet of liquid and the storage means, the thread is entrained by the liquid and carried by the liquid towards a funnel shape entry of the tube system, at which entry the thread is entrained by a liquid running through the tube system. As shown in Fig. 1, the yarn 14 is passed over a godet 15 and is then led downwardly across the prongs of a guide fork shown end-on at 16 and upwardly to a waste-collecting roller 17. Water is supplied through a conduit 18 having a spout 19 lying vertically in registry above a venturi in the tube 10. The tubes 10, 11 and 12 are part of a tube spinning system such as that described in Specification 682,409, and water passes through the tubes in the directions shown by the arrows. Each tube is provided with an entry funnel, at 13, and just under the funnel there is a venturi in the tube whereby a thread entering the funnel is entrained by the water passing through the tube. When the thread running between the prongs of the fork 16 is cut, the descending free end coming from the godet 15 is washed by the water issuing from the spout 19 into the top of the funnel 13, while the cut length of thread is wound on to the waste collector 17. After the thread has been spun-in, the tube 11 is shifted to the right and treating liquids are introduced into the various tubes. In consequence, although the thread continues to run from one tube to the other via the funnels 13, the treating liquids from the tubes do not do so and may be individually collected. The guide fork 16 is made of glass and its prongs are provided with indentations to position the thread over the funnel 13. As shown in full line in Fig. 3, the thread 28 is led downwardly over a vitreous guide 29, having a thread-guiding notch in its lower edge, to a collecting device (not shown). Water is led to the lower end of the guide 29 through the pipe 31, capsule 30 and capsule-mouth 33. When the thread is cut at the point X the water issuing from the capsule 30 washes the thread over the movable trough 26 and stationary trough 27 into the flared mouth 25 of the tube 24. Thereafter the thread is propelled through the tube 24 by a jet of water issuing from a tube 60 which is fixed in alignment with the flared mouth 25. Once spinning-in is complete the movable trough 26 is shifted to the position shown in chain-line position and the water supply to the capsule 30 is cut off, the liquid supplied to the tube 60 being changed from water to a treating liquid. The sumps and conduits 62-65 serve to catch and lead away the spill of water or other liquid used for spinning-in. As shown in Fig. 4, the thread is led downwardly from a godet 42 to a notch 43 in the edge of the spout 38, a notch 36 in the thread guide 35, and a collecting device (not shown). When the thread is cut at X a stream of water issuing from the spout 38 washes the running end into the funnel 37 in the same manner as shown in Fig. 1. The spout 39 and the guide 35 are rigidly connected by a glass rod 40 in such a way that the spout discharges its stream of water vertically through the notch 36 into the funnel 37. In the less fragile device shown in Fig. 6, the thread (full arrowed line) is first led from a source vertically above the guiding notch 45 of the metal block 44 over the notch 45 and the guiding notch 49 in the removable vitreous rod 48 inserted in holes in the bifurcated supports 46 and 47 of the block 44. When the thread is cut at the point X, water flowing through the conduit 51, passage-way 50, valve 52, conduit 54, and discharged from the conduit 55 washes the running end of the thread into the trough 56 and thus into a second stream of water discharged from the tube 60 into the venturi 25 forming part of a tube spinning system. Once the thread enters the spinning system it is somewhat displaced to the position shown in chain-line, when it passes around a stationary guide 57 before entering the venturi 25. In all cases the temporary collecting device is located on the side of the guide opposite to which the thread runs to the guide and in a position at least above the ingress to the first tube of the system and preferably above the guide itself.
