PURPOSE: A network system and a control method thereof are provided to reduce power consumption. CONSTITUTION: An energy measuring unit is placed in a utility network or a home network. The energy measuring unit recognizes energy information or additional information excluding the energy information. An energy managing unit(24) is placed in the utility network or the home network. The energy managing unit manages the energy information or the additional information in connection with an energy consuming unit(100). An energy storing unit stores energy for operating at least one component configuring the energy consuming unit when a power supply to the energy consuming unit is stopped.
