PLASMA CUTTING ELECTRODE AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PURPOSE: An electrode for plasma cutting and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to extend the life span of an electrode because the electrode body and the electrode member are integrated with filler metal within a vacuum furnace. CONSTITUTION: An electrode for plasma cutting comprises an electrode body(20), an electrode member(30), and filler metal(40). The electrode body is formed of a material with superior electric conductivity. The electrode body has an insertion groove on the leading end thereof in which the electrode member is inserted. The electrode member is formed of a material with superior electric conductivity, heat resistance, and abrasion resistance. The filler metal is located above the electrode member inserted in the insertion groove of the electrode body and penetrates between the insertion groove and the electrode member during vacuum thermal treatment, thereby welding the electrode body and the electrode member.
