PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for determining a positioning error is provided to determine a positioning error with a little resources using radio environment information which is received along with a GPS propagation signal. CONSTITUTION: A lattice cell, which is classified by a pCell ID, is stored in a database. A information receiving unit(210) receives a GPS propagation signal and a radio environment information from a mobile communications terminal. A location information output unit(220) produces GPS location information using a GPS coordinate. The location information output unit produces pCell location information using lattice cell identification information. An error determining unit(230) determines a positioning error about one of the GPS location information and the pCell location information.
