The claimed process consists in dissolving a suitable amount of biopolymer in ionic liquid at a temperature of 70...100°C while stirring continuously for 1 h. The process for impregnating the wood consists in immersing the wood for 15...30 min at a temperature of 30...40°C into the impregnation solution, then fixing the solution by water precipitation at a temperature of 20...30°C, with the removal of ionic liquid and drying the impregnated wood.
