COSMETIC COMPOSITION COMPRISING THE EXTRACT OF POURTHIAEA VILLOSA AS ACTIVE INGREDIENT

PURPOSE: A cosmetic composition containing Pourthiaea villosa (Thunb) Decne. var. villos extract is provided to ensure antioxidation and collagen biosynthesis and to suppress melanogenesis. CONSTITUTION: A cosmetic composition contains 0.001-30.0 wt% of Pourthiaea villosa (Thunb) Decne. var. villos extract as an active ingredient. The composition is used for antoxidation, antiwrinkling, skin whitening, anti-inflammation, or moisturizing. The extract is isolated by: solvent extraction using water, low alcohol, propylene glycol, butylene glycol, glycerin, acetone, ethyl acetate, or mixture thereof; sonication; supercritical extraction; and fermentation.
