<p>The invention relates to a system for driving a helicopter lifting rotor in emergency cases, meant to ensure the lift force, flight continuity and aircraft landing in case of engine fault. According to the invention, the driving system comprises some weights (), in a number equal with the number of blades () of the lifting rotor, placed inside said blades (), a sensor () providing information to a computer () which controls some electric motors () which, by means of some reducing gears (), some cables () and some rollers (), actuate the weights (), the motion of said weights () along the blades () being remotely radio-controlled by the computer (), where the electric motor (), the reducing gear () and a radio receiver () are incorporated into the weight () which slides on a rack () inside the blade () and, for reducing the additional strain on the blades () in the helicopter resting state, the weights () are placed in the close vicinity of a lifting rotor hub (), the system operation being initiated by the motion of the weights () from the hub () to the free extremities of the blades (), under the action of the centrifugal force occurring on the blade () when the lifting rotor is driven into motion.</p> |
