The method involves sealing an envelope and extracting gas from the envelope until pressure exceeds a threshold value to limit development of micro-organisms. The pressure is set less than or equal to 0.01 bar. The envelope is made of a flexible material such that the envelope is pressed against an outer surface of a barrel (10). The envelope comprises a valve (22) that is provided with a connection part for extracting the gas. The envelope is closed by a thermo-welding. The envelope is provided with an indicator to indicate the pressure.
