The present invention relates to a method for the formation of colony varieties of crop plants. The colony varieties of crops are produced from single-genotype varieties, hybrid combinations or mixtures of varieties and combinations from fundamental populations, which are consistent or uniform in major characters and share particular breeding goals. The said single-genotype varieties or hybrid combinations are multiplied separately. According to the breeding goals, their seeds are mixed in a specific ratio to form the preparations for planting. The varieties produced in such a way are featured with uniformity, stability and peculiarity. |
