APPARATUS FOR DETECTING SALINITY

PURPOSE: A salinity measuring device is provided to enable food to become mature to a desired level regardless of the salinity of food by determining a proper aging period depending on the salinity of Kimchi. CONSTITUTION: A salinity measuring device(40) comprises a salinity sensor(41), a switching unit(42), and a control unit(45). The salinity sensor comprises a pair of electrodes(41a,41b) and a capacitor(C1). The switching unit switches voltage charged in the capacitor of the salinity sensor. The control unit supplies pulse signals with a constant frequency to the switching unit. The control unit determines the salinity of food making contact with the electrodes based on the time when the voltage of the capacitor reaches reference voltage. At the salinity sensor, the capacitor is connected to any one of the electrodes in serial.
