PURPOSE: A charging-discharging device is provided to perform a charging and discharging process regardless of the thickness and the height of a secondary battery by limiting the volume expansion. CONSTITUTION: A charging-discharging device comprises the following: a supporting unit for supporting a secondary battery; first and second racks(160,170) moving to the horizontal direction on the upper side of the supporter; plural first vertical barriers(120) fixed on the first rack; plural second vertical barriers(130) fixed on the second rack; a pinion(140) moving the first rack and the second rack to the opposite direction; and a first fixing device fixing the pinion.
