The panel (10) has an insulating plate (20) that is made of thermally insulating material i.e. graphite expanded polystyrene. A lattice (40) i.e. glass fiber lattice, is extended along two sides (41) of the plate, and is fixed on a face of the plate by utilizing a fixing layer (30), where the lattice covers particular zones of the plate. The fixing layer is made of a mortar or a mortar adhesive, where layers of the plate are made of terra cotta, natural stone or reconstituted stone. An independent claim is also included for a method for thermally insulating a building.
