The device has multiple targets generating or reflecting signals that are modulated with frequency, and a sensor (3) that integrates and converts the signals into electrical signals. Sensing frequency is shifted with respect to the modulation frequency such that the sensor senses apparent frequency. A CPU (4) identifies the targets based on the electrical signals output by the sensor. The CPU comprises a digital signal processor, a microcontroller, a field-programmable gate array and an application-specific integrated circuit. The sensor is designed as a complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) global shutter camera. An independent claim is also included for tracking procedure.
