The present invention relates to a composition for preventing or treating rotavirus infection containing licorice extract, fractions of the extract or a compound separated from the extract. The licorice extract, fractions of the extract or a compound separated from the extract have anti-rotaviral effects, and exhibit, against a variety of rotaviruses, virucidal effects and inhibitory effects on cell degeneration at the same time, and therefore can be valuably used in preventing or treating rotavirus infection. |
