The solar cell has a spacer region (2) that extends along a rear surface of semiconductor substrate (1), for conducting current from doping region (13) of semiconductor substrate. The spacer region has specific electrical conductivity larger than the doping region. A conductive collecting contact arranged on front surface area of the semiconductor substrate and electrically connected with doping region, collects current from the doping region. A solar cell connector is connected with the front side of the conductive collecting contact. An independent claim is included for solar module.
