STEM CELL POPULATION AND METHODS OF ISOLATION AND USE THEREOF

Stem cells are isolated from mammals with haemangioma by isolating stem cells that express specific markers, including haemoglobin ? chain. These stem cells may be used in autologous or heterologous stem cell therapies, and in a wide range of therapeutic and experimental methods. For example, the stem cells can be systemically implanted into a mammalian subject, directly implanted into a target organ, or further cultured or differentiated in vitro, for example for subsequent implantation.
