The method involves providing rotary water zones (5) around an oil beam (2) in rotation. The zones are arranged one above the other around the rotary beam. A suction device for oil is provided close to the highest rotation zone. The rotary water zones are generated around the beam through drives e.g. mechanical or electro-mechanical assemblies. Peripherally arranged water pipes discharge water flow horizontal and tangential to the circle around the oil beam and under high pressure. The drives produce an axial expansion of the zones along the beam. An independent claim is also included for a device for generation of rotary water zones.
