<p>Provided is a method for producing an organic EL element (1) capable of emitting light at a high luminance and of being driven at a low voltage. Specifically provided is a method for producing an organic EL element involving: a first step for forming, on a positive electrode (2), a hole injection layer (3) containing a metal oxide; a second step for irradiating the hole injection layer (3) formed in the first step with ultraviolet radiation having a larger wavelength than the wavelength generated by means of oxygen radicals as oxygen molecules are broken down; a third step for forming, after the second step and on top of the hole injection layer (3), functional layers (4, 5) containing an organic material and a light-emitting layer; and a fourth step for forming a negative electrode (6) on top of the functional layers (4, 5).</p> |
