The refrigerator is also provided with a machine chamber (31) formed by a base member (20) composed of resin. The top of the base member (20) is connected to a backside plate (15) forming the backside portion of the outer housing (17), and the bottom of the base member (20) is connected to a bottom plate (16) forming the bottom portion of the outer housing (17).</p>
