<p>Provided are an optical communication system and optical signal relay device that enable communication to be achieved even in optical communications, on the basis of a prescribed protocol that has been carried out by electrical signals. A plurality of optical communication devices conducts optical communication via an optical communication line, a first optical signal relay device (10), and a second optical signal relay device. The first optical signal relay device (10) transmits, from all of the connectors (11), an optical signal received by any of the connectors (11). The second optical signal relay device transmits, from a prescribed connector, an optical signal received by any of the connectors, and transmits, from all of the other connectors, an optical signal received by a prescribed connector. The first optical signal relay device (10) and the second optical signal relay device combine and transmit a plurality of optical signals when a plurality of optical signals transmitted from a plurality of optical communication devices are simultaneously received.</p> |
