432,650. Optical-projection apparatus. LEWIS, W. T., 1, Victoria Avenue, Sheppey Place, Gravesend, Kent. Feb. 1, 1934, No. 3383. [Class 97 (i)] [See also Group XI] An apparatus for enabling a kinematograph projector to be used as a spot-light projector comprises a condenser lens A vertically mounted and adjustable on a slotted bar B which is adjustably attached to a slotted bracket C carried adjustably on the body of the projector. In using the apparatus the projecting lens system of the kinematograph projector is swung out of its operative position and the condenser lens A is swung up into the vacated position, the various adjustments of the mounting arrangements permitting the beam to be directed in any desired direction vertically or laterally. A colour screen J may be supported in front of the condenser lens, and an apertured masking plate is inserted in a position normally occupied by the film to control the area and shape of the beam. |
