Disclosed is a method for manufacturing high-purity 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene, whereby generation of the by-product 3,3,3-trifluoropropene is inhibited. In said method, the following are introduced into a catalyst layer, which is filled with a catalyst-supporting carrier, and reacted: a feedstock compound comprising either or both 1,1-dichloro-2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene and/or 1-chloro-2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene; and hydrogen. The disclosed method is characterized in that: the temperature of the catalyst layer is set greater than or equal to the dew point of the feedstock gas mixture containing the aforementioned feedstock compound and hydrogen; and the maximum temperature of the catalyst layer during the reaction is kept less than or equal to 130°C.
