A joint power control method in multi-user multiplexing technique and an apparatus thereof are provided in the present invention, and the present invention relates to the communication technical field. The method of the present invention includes: according to the reference power values of the two users based on the Voice services over Adaptive Muli-user channels on One Slot (VAMOS), determining the value of the initial power ratio of the two VAMOS users (SCPIR); if said initial value of SCPIR is out of the range of the designated SCPIR, adjusting the reference power value of at least one VAMOS user in the two VAMOS users so that the adjusted value of SCPIR of the two VAMOS users is in the range of said designated SCPIR, wherein, the reference power value of the VAMOS user is determined according to the uni-user power calculation method. The technical solution of the present invention adjusts the power ratio of the two users according to the real-time communication state of the users, and optimizes the total system performance. |
