The invention relates to a rotary bezel for watch cases having a non-circular shape. The bezel includes a circular ring-shaped rotatable part (3). Said circular ring has radial grooves (5) oriented towards the center of rotation (4) of the rotatable part, which coincides with the center of rotation of the watch hands. Oblong sliding members (6) are inserted into the grooves. The sliding members have visible members (1) to which they are rigidly connected. The sliding members are guided by the walls (9) of guide parts (8), the ends of each sliding member bearing against one of said walls. The walls (9) form a non-circular path. The rotatable part is actuated by a toothed wheel (13) meshing with a toothing (14) which is supported by the rotatable part and which is driven in turn by a conventional gear. Upon the rotation of the rotatable part, the sliding members slide along the walls (9) and thus follow a non-circular path while radially sliding toward or away from the center of rotation (4) and while driving the visible members that can be viewed from the outside and have the indices (2). The angular position of the visible members can thus be maintained.
