A disposable pull-on diaper (1) having both side edge portions (6a) of the front section and both side edge portions (6b) of the rear section overlapped together, and the overlapped portion (7) fusion bonded to form a pair of side seals (8). The overlapped portion (7) includes a waist opening-side waist end region (71), where a larger number of sheets are stacked than in other regions (72 and 73). The stacked sheet structure of the waist end region (71) in each of the front and rear sections extends between the overlapped portions in each of the front and rear sections. The side seal (8) has a smaller total length of fusion bonds (81) per unit length in its longitudinal direction measured along its skin side edge (8e) in its seal region (8a1) formed by fusion bonding the waist end region (71) than in the other seal regions (8a2 and 8a3) formed by fusion bonding the other regions (72 and 73) below the region (71). |
