A web press and method of printing is described. The web press comprises a web travel path for a continuous media web; a cutter configured to cut sheets from the media web at a fist rotational velocity; and at least one printer located upstream along the path from the cutter and configured to initiate printing on the media web at periodic time intervals based on the first rotational velocity.
