摘要 Disclosed is an electrode active material that has excellent high rate discharge properties, can increase discharge capacity during rapid discharge of a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery, and contains spinel-structured lithium titanate as the primary component. Further disclosed are a method for producing same, and a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery provided with same. The electrode active material contains spinel-structured lithium titanate and a strontium compound, and the strontium is contained at a mole ratio that is at greater than 0 moles and less than 10 moles for every 100 moles of lithium.
