Disclosed is an RNA strand stabilization method which enables the supply of an RNA sample for the purpose of demonstrating a reaction such as RT-PCR. Specifically disclosed are: an RNA strand storage solution which comprises an RNA strand to be stored and single-stranded RNA capable of stabilizing an RNA strand (or /and 0.1 to 2.5 µM of an aurine tricarboxylic acid salt); a process for producing an RNA strand solution; a method for stabilizing an RNA strand; a kit containing an RNA strand solution; a process for producing a DNA strand using an RNA strand that is to be stored in an RNA strand storage solution; a method for measuring the expression level of RNA using an RNA strand that is to be stored in an RNA strand storage solution as an RNA sample to be measured on the expression level; and others.
