SECURITY ELEMENT FOR SECURITIES (VARIANTS) AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME (VARIANTS)

The invention relates to the design of and a method for manufacturing security elements intended for protection against counterfeits of securities such as bank notes, identity cards and papers, cheques, credit cards etc. The security element for securities is in the form of a layer of transparent film and a layer of metallic material with a portion on which a hologram in the form of a microrelief consisting of alternate projections and grooves is formed. The hologram on the portion of the layer of metallic material consists of fragments manufactured from different metallic materials of different colours, while the portions which are adjacent to the hologram are transparent. The method consists in that a fragment of the hologram is covered by a protective mask, the surface of the metallic material is treated with a chemical reagent, said material is kept until the colour of the hologram fragment which is free of the protective mask has changed, the mask is removed and a security element with an image of a dichromatic hologram is produced. The invention makes it possible to increase the level of protection against counterfeit and unauthorized reproduction of a security with a security element by virtue of producing a hologram with a complex colour range.
