The invention provides a method of increasing the sensitivity of a cell to a double strand break (dsb) damage, comprising decreasing levels of functional histone H1x in a cell. This may be carried out using, for example, RNAi or anti-H1x antibodies. The double strand breaks may be introduced using ionising radiation (such as ? or x-rays or protons) or chemically. Inhibitors of H1x function are also provided. |
