The invention relates to an artificial surface formed by miniature plane horizontal corrugations, enabling the propagation of electromagnetic waves in the substrate (2) of antennae and printed circuit boards to be eliminated or reduced and to improve the performances thereof. Said surface is based on the use of novel topologies for the metal strip (5) forming the corrugation, said geometries consisting of coupled folded-back lines, and hairpin-type palm tree-type or spiral-type elements. Said geometries enable a reduction in the size of the corrugations, the incorporation of a sufficient number thereof in order to obtain the desired effect, and compatibility with compact devices. |
