The stud (1) has a spigot (3) extended along axial direction (4) of a joint ball (2) and rigidly connected with the joint ball. A recess (8) is provided on a joint formed on opposite side of the spigot. A magnet is held in the recess and arranged in an auxiliary body. A pot-shaped intake portion is firmly fixed in the recess. The magnet is defined in the recess by the auxiliary body. The auxiliary body encloses the magnet and supported at a wall of the intake portion. A spring and the magnet are embedded into a plastic body. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a ball stud in a ball and socket joint.
