If the determination is made to implement purge control, a purge control unit (34) actually implements purge control. On the basis of the determination results from purge control determination unit (32), a throttle limit switching unit (36) switches the upper limit for the throttle aperture. A throttle control unit (38) controls the throttle aperture so that throttle aperture does not exceed the upper limit set by the throttle limit switching unit (36).
