The burner (1) has a distributor chamber (33) provided between a perforated plate (31) or a lattice (29) and a base plate (9), where the chamber is provided for gas mixture e.g. air, natural gas, methane and/or propane mixture. Another distributor chamber (35) is provided between the perforated plate/lattice and a burner strip (3). An outer contour of the strip is convexly curved at a side along length or width, where the side is turned away from a housing (5) and turned toward an object. An inner side (15) of the strip turned toward a housing interior is less curved and/or planar.
